Australia’s Webby award winners

Friday, 9 May 2008

Two Australian companies have been recognised for producing world-beating websites in this year’s Webby Awards.

Announced in New York this week, the Webbys honour the world’s most creative websites, interactive online advertising, online film and mobile content.

Sydney-based digital agency Amnesia Group took out the Webby for the Beauty and Cosmetics category for the Lynx Effect website, the highly interactive website for the Lynx deodorant brand.

And The Australian Channel group took out the associations Webby for the SkillsOne website, an online resource for young people thinking of taking up a career in the trades.

Webbys were awarded in almost 70 categories, from retail (winner, the Ikea website) to art, taken out by the Museum of Modern Art website.
