Astart-up-idea-sidekicker Melbourne online start-up called Sidekicker encourages time-poor professionals to pay young men and women to run errands for them.

In addition to running errands, Sidekicks can let in tradesmen, log onto websites to buy festival and gig tickets, or save spots at Moonlight Cinema.

“We believe that busy people and businesses… shouldn’t be wasting time on certain tasks that aren’t value-adding,” co-founder Tom Amos says.

“They should be outsourcing that to someone at a fair rate so they can either be more productive at work or enjoy their lives more.”

Sidekicker follows in the footsteps of Airtasker and TaskRabbit, suggesting there’s an unmet demand for services of this nature.
