A number of thieves have stolen millions of dollars worth of iPhones during a heist in a Belgian warehouse, according to the De Standaard.

The report claims the group used a fire ladder to gain access to the roof, and were able to enter the warehouse using a hole in the building cut above the room where about 4,000 devices were stored.

It is estimated the phones are valued at about $3.2 million. The company that owned the warehouse has refused to comment, but it is suspected the thieves had obtained knowledge about the phones’ location from inside the company.

Mobile company Mobistar, which had already been waiting for new shipments in the lead-up to the Christmas period, has said it will block the phones’ serial numbers so they cannot be activated.
