The trend of major corporations releasing iPhone apps has continued with this week’s release of the official Foxtel app.

This app allows Foxtel subscribers to login with their details and control their Foxtel set-top box from their iPhone or iPod Touch.

Users can browse the Foxtel program guide, save channels to your favourites list, send reminder notifications for shows you would like to watch in the future and do a quick search of the programs on at that moment.

However, the main drawing card is the integration with the Foxtel IQ digital recording system. If you’re out of the house and forget to record a show or movie, just whip out the Foxtel iPhone App and press record.

Best of all – it’s free.
