One of the greatest features of the iPhone is the ability to use augmented reality to bring a sense of realism to your apps.

The Plane Finder AR app is one of the best of its kind. The app allows users to point their iPhone in the direction of any nearby plane, and then provides flight information including flight code, distance and destination.

Developer Pinkfroot Limited says the app is designed to use ADS-B plane feeds used by all commercial planes, which transmits their name, position and destination.

The app is $4.19, but is the type of program you will show off to your friends again and again, and could even come in handy when waiting at the airport.
