Apple is set to introduce a new “replay” feature to iTunes that will allow users to re-download some media files more than once, a new report has indicated.
iTunes users have criticised the company for years as it does not currently allow users to download their media more than once, even if a user has had their original copies accidentally deleted.
The blog AppAdvice has reported that the new feature may be introduced within the next few weeks, and that iTunes Replay is similar to what the company is already doing with iCloud. Users will be able to re-downloaded some movies and television shows.
The publication reports that the name iTunes Replay will be kept when the service goes to market. With the tech giant also expected to launch new hardware this year, these announcements could all come at the same time.
AppAdvice also reports that media back to 2009 may be available to stream as part of the new service.
