Facebook is tipped to be announcing a new music product by the end of this morning, according to a new report from CNBC.
The report comes after months of speculation that Facebook would be integrating its services with some type of music streaming service that would allow users to recommend music to each other.
According to a tweet posted by CNBC, Facebook will launch its music service on September 22. The publication also reported that the product will launch in line with the F8 conference later this month.
The publication also puts forward that Facebook may not be trying to retail music, but instead offer an environment where third parties such as Spotify could offer their own products.
