Apple has released the next beta version of the iOS software to developers, several have begun reporting.

The iOS 5.0.1 beta 2 has now been delivered and comes just a few days after the original was made available for download.

That update came after a number of users had complained of battery issues using the new iOS 5 software. Users in Australia have also been promised that the update will help the Siri voice assistant recognise local voices better.

Although the iOS 5 software was a major release, users usually find errors or bugs very quickly, prompting Apple to launch updates quite quickly after it has been released.
