Brisbane-based Monarc Global is Australia’s fastest-growing tech firm, expanding its revenue by 6331% between 2019 to 2021, according to Deloitte’s new Technology Fast 50 Australia report.

Monarc Global operates the Travtech platform, which assesses data from flight routes, projected fuel stops, and weather conditions, giving accurate point-of-sale information to aircraft charter operators and owners.

Co-founded in 2017 by Royce Crown and Monica Zagrodny, and with the backing of chief technical officer Cameron Deane, Monarc Global’s revenue growth was greater than any other company assessed by Deloitte over the period.

Not only is Monarc Global the fastest-growing tech company on the list, Zagrodny’s co-founder status saw the firm win Deloitte’s award for female leadership — the first time in the Technology Fast 50’s 21-year history a single company won both honours.

E-commerce advertising platform CitrusAd was the second fastest-growing company on the list, expanding revenue 3095% between 2019 and 2021.

Telix Pharmaceuticals, focused on nuclear medicine, ranked third, with revenue growth of 2573%.

Each company on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 50 list must have posted at least $8 million in cumulative revenue across the reporting period, but many companies didn’t stop there.

Australian luxury e-commerce platform Cettire won Deloitte’s ‘Leadership’ award, granted to companies which report revenue over $50 million in the final reporting year.

Cettire grew 1518% over those three years, eventually boasting a sales revenue of $92.4 million in the 2020-21 financial year.

Athena Home Loans took out Deloitte’s Rising Star award for a tech company in business for fewer than three years.
