Nokia’s support team in Europe has released an official statement pledging to fix battery issues with the Lumia 800.

The smartphone is one of the first to come from the company powered by the Windows Phone software.

“We immediately started to investigate these reports and can now confirm that while the battery itself is fine, a software problem on certain variants is limiting the phone’s ability to access the full battery capacity,” a Nokia official wrote on the company’s forums.

In a statement, the company said users can run a battery status test from the diagnostics tool on the phone as well.
