German courts have maintained an injunction against Apple using push notifications, while Apple has failed to get an injunction against a Motorola feature phone, as patent battles between the two companies continue.

According to Apple Insider Motorola won a continuation of its injunction against Apple using push notifications as part of its iCloud service in Germany.

Apple responded by seeking an injunction in the Munich I Regional Court against the Motorola GLEAM, clamshell feature phone being sold in Germany. Apple cited a patent it holds on “computing devices with a dynamic ornamental appearance” as grounds for the injunction.

However, Apple failed to win the injunction with the judge doubting the validity of Apple’s patent. Legal action between the companies continues.
