Markets push slightly higher: Afternoon market insights

The Australian sharemarket posted modest gains today, despite overseas bourses cycling downward. At 2pm, the ASX200 was up 0.18% to 4369.6, while the broader All Ordinaries rose 0.14% to 4388.5. The Australian dollar also rose higher today, buying $US1.04045.
