Kim Dalton, the man behind ABC TV’s successful push into digital, will leave the ABC in Febuary after seven years heading its television division.
During that time, Dalton has launched several digital channels, as well as iView, which was an Australian television first that allows viewers to watch programs for free online after they have aired.
ABC chief Mark Scott said in a statement that Dalton had been instrumental in helping the public broadcaster push for funding increases.
“Kim leaves us after a very strong year on ABC television, with audience share up on all networks and producing a highly distinctive slate of Australian content,” Scott said.
