George Hartley is the director of Bluethumb, an online art gallery that makes it easy to buy paintings from original Australian artists.

We have a team that’s split up between Melbourne and Adelaide, so productivity tools like Trello, Basecamp and Slack that enable us to run a distributed team easily are essential.

More interesting is the Tumblr iOS app, which I love. It’s seemingly simple user interface means that the app gets completely out of the way of the content on it, and allows intuitive navigation. At Bluethumb we’re always on the lookout for interesting new art, and it’s a cool tool for discovering art and artists.

It handles different types of content, like different sized images, gifs, and video seamlessly, and there are some super nice design touches and animations too. The more I use it, the more I love it.
