Microsoft is integrating with cloud software company NetSuite.
NetSuite chief executive Zach Nelson announced the partnership at the SuiteWorld conference in San Jose this morning.
The deal connects NetSuite’s cloud ERP to Microsoft Office 365, Windows and Microsoft Azure.
There will be an immediate integration between NetSuite and Azure Active Directory that enables single sign-on for customers using NetSuite together with Azure Active Directory.
In the coming months NetSuite and Microsoft will start cloud-to-cloud integration between NetSuite and Office 365.
“Historically we haven’t found a way to find common ground with Microsoft,” Nelson told the conference.
“But when Satya Nadella came in I could see a sea change in their focus.”
In a recorded statement Microsoft chief executive Nadella said the cloud presents an “unprecedented opportunity” for businesses to transform.
Nadella says the integration will transform how people work and will reduce security threats.
“Together we are focused on empowering the smallest of incubators to the largest enterprises to seize the opportunities ahead and thrive in a mobile first cloud first world.”
Cara Waters travelled to San Jose as a guest of Netsuite which paid for her flights and accommodation.
