The Australian release of the iPhone saw lines hundreds of people long, with stores selling out of stock within just hours of opening. But if a Canadian research firm is to be trusted, the same could happen this year – three times over. Canadian research firm Canaccord Adams predicts 2009 will see the release of not just one, but three more iPhone models.
Analyst Peter Misek believes the three models will include a smaller Nano version, along with a larger 3G model with 32 gigabytes of storage. The Nano version, he says, will include less features but still take advantage of Apple’s App Store and other novelties.
His third prediction is for a smaller (and possibly cheaper) iPhone that does not connect to the 3G network.
