Everyone forgets their password now and again. Thankfully, if you’re using the Mac OS X there are a few different ways to reset your password.
First, you need to grab your installation disc, and then insert it into the drive. You should be taken through the process fairly easily, so don’t try and speed it up by pressing random combinations of buttons.
After the first screen has loaded, you should be able to choose “reset password” under the “utilities” options. You’ll be given a few different options, after which you can boot up the computer as normal.
And that’s it. If you don’t have an installation disc, you can contact Apple to see if a replacement can be sent out to you.
