Late last week I told you to keep spending time trawling the internet for trends, news and good ideas.
I’m sure you all took my advice, but if you didn’t I want to point you in the direction of a great little article I found on the website Inc, called, The 10 greatest sales people of all time.
The slideshow, which includes names such as Oracle’s Larry Ellison, Mary Kay Ash and Dale Carnegie, contains some great little nuggets for entrepreneurs who are looking to continually develop their sales (and that should be all of you!).
For example, John H. Patterso, the founder and CEO of the National Cash Register Co. was the first to take sales training seriously, organising formal sales training courses and retreats. Great idea if you haven’t done it already.
Or take this little nugget from advertising legend David Ogilvy, from his famous text, Confessions of an Advertising Man: “The worst fault a salesman can commit is to be a bore. Foster any attempt to talk about other things; the longer you stay the better you get to know the prospect, and the more you will be trusted.”
These are just two ideas – and two reasons why you should never stop reading.
Get it done – today!
