Market breaks winning streak: Afternoon market insights

The Australian sharemarket’s eight-day winning streak came to a halt today, with the ASX slightly down on Friday’s close. At 2.30pm, the ASX200 was down 0.30% to 4480.8, while the broader All Ordinaries gave up 0.29% to 4500.7. The Australian dollar fell to a three-month low today, buying $US1.0162.
