Markets up as Japanese business improves: Afternoon market insights

Better than expected news from Japan and the United States help put wind under the wings of the stock market today. The All Ordinaries was up .8% to 4,384 at 3.15pm. The S&P/ASX200 was up .9% to 4,363. The Australian dollar isstable at 1.0334.
