An office worker refused a pay rise spent three years sabotaging his firm’s office equipment with cleaning fluid, a British court has heard.
Edward Sobolewski, a credit controller at market research company Frost and Sullivan, was discovered creeping into his company’s main server room and pouring cleaning fluid into the main computer servers. He initially said he was just cleaning the servers, but admitted his intention when presented with the footage.
Sprung when the firm installed CCTV cameras to catch the culprit, he admitted causing the damage because he was angry about not getting a pay rise.
Sobolewski was sentenced to eight months in prison, and ordered to pay £10,000 costs to Frost and Sullivan.
