A group of Apple shareholders demanded clarification about the health of CEO Steve Jobs at the tech giant’s AGM.
The group wants more details on Apple’s long-term succession plan following the leave of absence taken by Jobs, who founded the company and is seen as key to its ongoing success. However, the company’s board has turned down the request.
Quake rescue effort to resume
The rescue effort in Christchurch will continue this morning with more than 1000 specialists from around the world searching for survivors after Tuesday’s devastating earthquake.
The death toll officially stands at 75 but it’s feared that several hundred people may have perished. The insurance bill for the disaster is forecast to top $12 billion.

Lachlan Murdoch is to examine Ten Network’s strategy after being installed as acting CEO of the media company.
It’s thought that Murdoch will pay particular attention to Ten’s news and current affairs strategy, which includes the struggling 6pm with George Negus as well as the future of sports channel One.
