Samsung has unveiled its latest flagship smartphones, the Galaxy S6 and the Galaxy S6 Edge.
The Galaxy S6 Edge includes a screen that curves away on either side of the front of the device, which TechCrunch says just might be the company’s most ambitious design to date. Both smartphones include improved specifications and a slimmer lighter design and have wireless charging technology embedded.
The Android-powered smartphones will also come bundled with three Microsoft apps – Skype, OneDrive, and OneNote. The phones are set to become available globally from April 10.
Vox’s Timothy B Lee looks at just how revolutionary self-driving cars could be. He argues that when dismissing self-driving cars, critics might be making the same mistakes that others did during the rise of the personal computer.
“Cars in 2035 could look as different from cars today as today’s iPhone looks from a PC circa 1995. A number of industries — trucking, restaurants, retail stores, delivery services, public transit, real estate — will adapt to the new capabilities of self-driving vehicles, making those vehicles increasingly central to the economy. And people will develop totally new services using self-driving vehicles that are hard to imagine today.”
Tinder Plus, the popular dating app’s first attempt to monetize its service will launch in the United States on Monday for $US9.99, sources tell TechCrunch.
Some of the features of Tinder Plus include a rewind function, the ability to go back to the last person they swiped on, and a passport feature which lets users search for matches anywhere in the world, instead of being locked into their currency location. Pricing will vary from market to market.
