Former Westfield chief financial officer Marlon Teperson has joined shopping centre owner Centro Retail Australia (ASX: CER).

Teperson will be Centro Retail’s CFO from April 16.

He worked for Westfield for 16 years and recently worked as a consultant in the shopping centre industry.

Centro Retail was established late last year after a restructure of the debt-laden Centro group, whose share price plummeted during the global financial crisis.

It has $6.9 billion worth of investments in 91 shopping centres.
