Nicole Perrin, the wife of bankrupt entrepreneur Matthew Perrin, has emerged as the largest creditor of a company controlled by the former Billabong International chief executive.
Perrin’s company Christie Pty Ltd was placed in receivership last week after Perrin filed for bankruptcy.
The company is being wound up and creditors will meet in Brisbane for the first time today. Insolvency Turnaround Solutions director Julie Williams is in charge of the receivership.
Christie has secured creditors of $5.7 million, including financiers and property groups SAI Group and Orchard Property.
Unsecured creditors are owned a total of $22 million. Perrin’s wife Nicole is the largest and is owed $21.7 million.
Other small creditors include the Australian Taxation Office, which is owed $8000, the Randwick Equine Centre veterinary service (owed $133.45) and the horse float business (owed $145.20).
According to the notice of meeting sent to creditors, the total assets of Christie are unknown.
