Computer giant Apple is facing a law suit over the screen rendering technology used in its iPhone and iPod touch products. The suit, which has been filed in the United States District Court for the district of Delaware, involves Picsel Technologies claiming the screen technology used by Apple violates several of Picsel’s patents.

The company’s lawyers also claim iPhone and iPod touch users would experience lengthy screen update delays if the Picsel technology weren’t used. Viewing documents, web sites and pictures would be significantly more difficult if it weren’t for the device, the company claims.

Picsel is seeking compensation for every device sold, and damages.
