Telstra will kill its infamous PR website nowwearetalking.com.au in an effort to wipe away the remains of the corporate image formed by former CEO Sol Trujillo.

The site, launched in 2005, hosts a group of blogs written by Telstra staff. It is closely linked with Trujillo but attracted wide criticism from customers and the media after publishing a series of attacks on government regulators and rival companies.

New CEO David Thodey will launch a replacement corporate blog website later this year, the telco announced yesterday.

“Thodey’s the type of guy who’d have a website called ‘nowwearelistening’ instead,” a Telstra employee told The Age.
