But appears Australians have found a solution to the problem of unwanted gifts; flog them on eBay.
According to The Age, a staggering 126,500 new items were listed on eBay on Boxing Day and almost one million items have been listed since Christmas.
Gadgets, including cameras, MP3 players and video games, have been among the most popular items to sell.
