Katie Page is one of the longest running chief executives in Australia, having been at the helm of Harvey Norman since 1999.
Along with husband Gerry Harvey, Page manages the company’s 200-store network, in addition to furniture retailers Domayne and Joyce Mayne. Page is also a current director of The Retail Council, a member of the NSW Public Service Commission Advisory Board, and has previously sat on the board of the National Rugby League
In 2017, Harvey Norman’s company owned stores and retail holdings generated $3.16 billion in revenue, up from $3.03 billion in 2016.
When speaking to Vogue Australia in 2016, Page has said her motivation comes from “growing a great business”.
“I always wake up thinking ‘What’s next?’”.
Page has previously advocated for more women in positions of power within the retail industry.
“If the majority of shoppers are women, then why are there not more female leaders in retail?” she said at an event in 2014.
