SmartCompany has joined forces with three of Australia’s leading business news and commentary sites to provide advertisers access to a hard to reach, concentrated readership of wealthy senior business professionals.
The four sites – SmartCompany, Business Spectator, Eureka Report and Crikey – have formed a single sales network called First Digital Media with a sales teams in Melbourne and Sydney, led by online media executive, Oliver Hinton.
The new network will deliver to advertisers an undiluted audience of high level Australian business owners, executives, investors and professionals.
“This is an audience of influence and affluence with almost no duplication,” Hinton says. “Between them the websites have 640,000 unique browsers every month and enjoy some of the highest levels of engagement of any business websites in Australia.”
“The sites offer advertisers an incomparably wealthy, highly educated and influential audience of senior executives, owners and professionals.”
He says 80% have tertiary or post graduate qualifications, 46% earn more than $104,000 per annum while 60% are in senior roles in their organisations.
“About 28% have more than $1 million in personal investments and 31% are likely to travel first class or business class when travelling internationally,” he says.
The directors and owners of the four websites include some of Australia’s best known media and business practitioners including Eric Beecher, Di Gribble, Tony Foure, Alan Kohler, Amanda Gome, Stuart Simson, Mark Carnegie, Robert Gottliebsen and Stephen Bartholomeusz.
Amanda Gome, publisher of SmartCompany, says SmartCompany has made it easier for advertisers to reach the elusive small and medium business owner and managers.
“SmartCompany has more than 130,000 uniques a month and a subscriber base of 15,000 who receive our newsletter daily, so advertisers can now reach a pure audience of entrepreneurs and business owners and managers. With the launch of First Digital Media, they can also target other executives and professionals in a single digital solution.”
