Last night in Melbourne we had an Entrepreneurs’ Organisation event with a high profile speaker, Dr Ava Cadell, about Neuro-Love-ology. She’s even been on Dr. Phil, so to me she’s famous.
Dr Ava is a love and relationship expert, which is a very polite way of saying sex therapist.
There were men, women and couples in the room in a safe, trusting and non-judgemental mature-minded environment having an open and frank discussion. Dr Ava is one of EO’s highest rated speakers.
At EO, we cover topics which extend far beyond just business to recognise the 360 degree entrepreneurial lifestyle which encompasses business, family, self and community aspects.
While slightly controversial with some laughs and squirms in the room at times, it was an amazing experience to be able to learn about the importance of creating a happy home and bedroom life which ultimately translates into a better and more sex-cessful work and business life.
One of the problems is this: The average married couple who has been married for over 10 years has sex once a fortnight for an average of seven minutes. Now maybe that’s a long haul for some, but the goal here is to avoid becoming one of those stats!
You could also say many entrepreneurs are highly charged and tend to use their right side of the brain being more creative, spontaneous and adventurous.
Right side of the brain people tend to be more detailed and require structure, logic, reasoning and analysis and we need to compensate for these differences in the bedroom.
As silly as it sounds, the secrets to sex-cess could actually be the secret to world peace!
After hearing Dr Ava, I feel more strongly about the importance of this topic, which should not be ignored, avoided or deflected.
We also walked away with a bunch of takeaway products, and I must admit I feel that the adult toy industry has been demystified.
Interestingly, the adult products sold on the daily deal sites have been hot sellers with nearly all female customers and books like 50 Shades of Grey have helped fuel the industry.
