Every single one of us has been there.

That place where we are itching to take the low road: to trash a reputation because we’ve been hurt by someone; to seek revenge on someone who we believe has wronged us.

The low road is reserved for people of low moral standing and little character.

No matter how tempting (or how much you can get away with it), don’t ever, ever take the low road. For one simple reason: Power Players never do.

Why? Because once you do it you are no better than the person you secretly want to destroy. In fact, you are worse than them because your actions come from a place where you know exactly how it feels to be hurt badly – or worse, publicly.

The revenge scenario might feel good for a day, maybe two, but then all you will feel is regret and remorse. Mostly because you took the bait and lost that part of yourself that is decent and noble.

Power Players rally against this temptation, and so should you.
