They are experts in personal reinvention because they know that keeping an edge helps to keep their Power buzz going.

Power Players know what most of us suspect: that we should evolve ourselves before others find us predictable, repetitive, and worse, dull.

Even when Power Players reach a lofty place, they never lose sight of the fact that they need to evolve. If they start to be seen as too conservative or too easy to read, they flip a switch and work on other areas of their professional strengths or personalities.

They know that if the market determines they are past their use-by date, they are toast – and it’s their job to make sure they never get there.

Learn this from the Power Players: smell the market when it comes to your place in it. If it is time to change your M.O., then do it before you are obsolete.
