Power Players don’t see anything magnanimous about being a martyr to the cause.

They don’t feel the gravitational pull of being a people-pleaser. If it isn’t right, if it doesn’t feel right, they don’t do it.

Learning how to say no with great elegance and panache is a skill that Power Players learn early on in their careers.

They can say no, and it still sounds positive and charming. They don’t get roped in to doing the stuff that will push them over the edge.

They don’t go down the guilty road and turn to self-loathing when they can’t fulfill every request thrown at them.

Saying no is a very powerful tool in the Power Player playbook. It doesn’t need to be done with any malice or anger it can be done gently and directly.

If you want to be a Power Player, go to the nearest mirror and practice saying no. Kindly, gently, directly and honestly. Feels good, doesn’t it?
