Power Players look for what’s really going on when someone violently opposes an idea. Vocal and vociferous opposition is often used to bury an agenda.

Power Players know that when someone’s response of opposition is over the top, they look for the reason behind that opposition.

Power Players never rise to the opposition. They take a step back and invest their energy in working out what’s really going on.

Be smart. Be a detective when someone is body-blocking you. Find out the missing part of the story.

If you can diffuse their hidden issue or remove their secret agenda, nine times out of 10, you’ll remove their opposition.

Most importantly, Power Players don’t fall for the violent reaction. They don’t take that reaction head-on.

They take a breath, work out what’s really going on and they fix it. If you find the hidden agenda, you find the way to fix the problem or get the voice of opposition back in your camp.
