How Prosple started

Prosple was born out of a need to eliminate the many inefficiencies in the graduate recruitment market. Founders Jeff Duncan, Richard McKeon and Geoff Adams saw the traditional recruitment process as both costly and time-consuming for employers. They also found universities were struggling to deliver meaningful career resources.

In response, they formed Prosple – a centralised online platform where employers and students can get direct access to each other. It’s a trusted source of targeted employment and education opportunities, serving millions across Australia, New Zealand and the Asia-Pacific.

Growth

The company boasts plenty of big-name supporters, having partnered with the likes of Google, Canva, Deloitte and PwC. But it hasn’t always been smooth sailing. Before the Covid-19 pandemic, Prosple focused on printing and distributing careers guides and handbooks on university campuses. But that direct link to students was quickly severed – and Prosple had to act fast to adapt.

In March 2020, Prosple made the bold decision to discontinue its printed content and focus on online engagement, including hosting virtual careers fairs. This transition proved to be an instant success, with its digital audience growing from 2 million in 2020 to 10 million students by mid-2023.

Where to next

Prosple’s ambition is to ultimately serve every student worldwide. In the next 12 months, the business wants to reach students in 100 countries and employers in 10, which is why it is investing so heavily in the resources and infrastructure needed for a global presence.

Its mission has one core motivation: to help the next generation of leaders find their place in the world.
