How Platinum Outsourcing started
Founded in 2019, Platinum Outsourcing was established with the goal of providing Australian businesses with easy access to outsourcing in the Philippines. In the five years since, the business has grown rapidly and now operates out of Jakarta in Indonesia and Manila in the Philippines. Platinum Outsourcing’s teams support a variety of Australian businesses, ranging from small-to-medium enterprises (SMEs) through to multinational companies.
Growth
However, Platinum Outsourcing’s growth in Indonesia and the Philippines did not come without challenges. The company opened its first Manila offices in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, and while all businesses were challenged during that time, founder Tim Webb admits that managing the complexities of operating in Indonesia and the Philippines was very tough.
“There was no playbook for how to do it,” he says. “We flew by the seat of our pants, and are far more resilient now as an organisation as a result.”
Where to next
Platinum Outsourcing has plans to grow past 300 full-time equivalent employees over the next 12 months. The company also recently opened its new facility in Jakarta, with over 1000 square metres of office space for teams and clients to access, creating room to aggressively focus on growth.
