BRS was founded by managing director Kym Williams and his wife Nicole.

It assists clients in infrastructure, mining and government to secure and set up projects for improving performance, saving money, managing risk and developing people.

“More specifically, we provide services in project governance, commercial and procurement, organisation and process improvement, collaborative contracting, and leadership, team and culture services,” Nicole says.

“We develop long-term partnerships with clients by offering a seamless approach to improvement.

“Our focus is on assisting our clients to be the best they can be. We also hold this aspiration for ourselves.”

Prior to BRS, Kym worked in general management and commercial leadership across the private sector and government. However, he often felt frustrated by the process of engaging advisors.

Those that excelled in operations and systems often failed to link the plan to the people.

Meanwhile, those heavily invested in developing people and culture lacked commercial acumen and the insight to improve systems and processes to support and foster the desired culture.

With a passion and understanding of both sides of business, Kym and Nicole decided to launch BRS.

“We identified a unique opportunity [to assist with] non-technical infrastructure projects and organisation support,” Nicole says.

According to the couple, cashflow and recruitment were the most challenging parts of starting up the business, but the “autonomy and the ability to make a difference” were both positive aspects.

“We have built a great business in a challenging environment and our potential is significant for future growth,” Nicole says.
