In the age of entertainment dominated by zombie apocalypses and an ongoing retreat from energy wasting technology, this new torch is a bright idea.

Created by Ann Makosinski, a 15-year-old Canadian high school student, the torch is powered by body heat, making it a great idea for camping gear, cars and other places where battery-dependent tools can peter out due to long periods of lying around unused.
