SYDNEY: Sydney Startup Weekend, July 26 to 28
The Sydney weekend of the international Startup Weekend program is set to take place in just over a week.
Hosted by co-working space Fishburners, aspiring start-up operators from a wide range of backgrounds pitch ideas, create teams around key ideas and develop a business plan and product or service.
The final day is a pitch day and the winning start-up receives ongoing support to develop their idea.

MELBOURNE: Launch48, July 26 to 28
This weekend program to develop an idea into a minimum viable product has the added drawcard of international start-up expertise.
Jon Bebo, a managing partner at tech consulting company ALTthink, will be speaking to the attendees via Skype from Silicon Valley. He will be speaking about “Death by Mentor”, and how to avoid it.
The event will take place at co-working space Inspire 9.

SYDNEY: Fund It Program, August 2
Run by the Enterprise Network for Young Australians and sponsored by ANZ, this weekend seminar trains attendees to seek funding for their business.
There is one experienced mentor per 10 attendees and upon completion of the program ENYA can provide a qualified referral to its bank partner.
