taskmasterAh Easter, how I love thee. I love hot cross buns. I love chocolate. I love feasting on fish on Good Friday.

I love catching up on books I’ve been meaning to read. I love lounging on the couch watching some films. I love reading the newspapers for more than a few minutes.

Yep, Easter is great. But I also love a little tradition I’ve created on the Saturday of the long weekend – my thank you dinner.

As I often say, an entrepreneur’s support team is crucial to their survival and success. And just like it is important to nurture your team at work, it’s crucial to nurture your team at home.

So I cook a huge dinner for my extended family. OK, I barbecue lots of meat and buy as much alcohol as they can drink, but the point is the same – it’s a chance for everyone to get together and for me to make it clear how much I value them.

You might have another way you like to thank your support team – gifts, dinner and a movie, perhaps giving them a chance to get away.

Whatever it is, make it an Easter tradition – just quietly, you’ll get as much out of it as they do.

Get it done – today!
