Have you ever waited for a website that’s seemingly taken forever to load?

Perhaps it’s someone else’s site and you’re trying to tell them what’s going wrong. Or maybe it’s your website and you want it to load a bit quicker.

Well, if you use Mozilla Firefox, you already have a powerful diagnostic tool built in.

Go to the website that appears to be running slowly and hold down CTRL + Shift + Q. This will pull up Firefox’s Network Monitor Tool window.

Click again in the window with the slow running website, and hold down CTRL+F5.

The Network Monitor Tool window will list all the files that are used on the webpage, the website domain they come from, how large each of the files is and how long they take to load.

It’s a powerful tool for narrowing down exactly where your website is going awry.
