One of the better features of the new iOS 5 was the ability to set up lock-screen notifications, so if you’re mentioned on Twitter, or you have new emails, you’re able to check them without unlocking the phone.

 

 

But did you also know you can open these apps directly from the lock screen?

 

To do so, all you need to do is swipe the notification for any app that’s given you a notification. Once you’ve done that, and put in your passcode, you’ll be taken directly to the respective app.
