Tired of double-clicking? In Windows you can actually create keyboard shortcuts that will allow you to open whatever program you like, using whatever keys you want.
If you want to program a shortcut, first you need to actually find the shortcut to the program you want. These can usually be found in the Start menu.
Then, right-click on the icon, and select “properties,” after which a windows should appear.
There will be an option for you to enter a shortcut key. Here you can use whatever key or combination you would like. A prefix of “Ctrl+Alt” will already be added for you. When you’re finished, click “OK”.
And you’re done. When you want to open that program next, just use the shortcut, and it will appear in front of you.
