Eight months after internet giant Google released the first version of its web-browser, Chrome, it has released a second version that the company says is faster and more efficient.
The company released a beta test version of the updated browser in March, but has now released the full version on its website.
New features include changes to the “new tab” page, where users can edit thumbnails of recently visited sites, a full screen mode for presentations and “form autofill” that can automatically fill out routine surveys requiring similar information.
The company also says that it has fixed several virus and bug issues, over 300, that have caused computer crashes during the browser’s test run.
Google also said the browser is much faster, after having improved the software coding used to decrypt web pages when browsing. Google said that the browser is now even faster when users have a large number of “tabs” open in one browser.
