Video sharing site YouTube is now in negotiations with some Hollywood studios that will see the site offer full-length movies for a price, according to a report in the New York Times.

The site is reportedly discussing a potential deal with Lionsgate Entertainment, Sony and Warner Brothers, while one source told the NYT that the deal could see newly released DVD titles on the site as well.

“While we don’t comment on rumor and speculation, we hope to expand both on our great relationships with movie studios and on the selection and types of videos we offer our community,” a YouTube spokesperson said.

One unnamed studio executive also said the deal was in process, but that pricing issues and the timing of video releases are still unresolved.

The potential deal comes after YouTube has attempted to clean up its image, with the site introducing advertisements into its videos.
