A mobile gadget manufacturer in the US has designed a new product that is dedicated to sending and receiving messages on social networking site Twitter.
The “TwitterPeek” device, designed and manufactured by Peek, costs $US100 with a six-month plan, or $US200 with a lifetime membership. The company claims it is the “world’s first dedicated Twitter mobile device”.
“Because TwitterPeek is designed for Twitter, it provides a tweeting experience superior to any website or smartphone application,” the company said in a statement.
The gadget looks similar to a BlackBerry device, and comes with a full keyboard and screen for typing messages. The device comes in response to figures from analytics sites, which show a large number of Twitter users post from interfaces other than their desktop computers.
