A new start-up from the Columbia Business School in the US allows newly married couples to collect photographs taken by guests at their wedding.
Users create a profile, and upload the email addresses of all their guests. An email is then sent reminding them to bring their cameras on the big day.
After the wedding day, the company, called “Olapic”, sends emails to the guests and reminds them to upload their pictures onto some web-based software. The pictures remain private until the newly married couple releases them at their discretion.
Photos can be uploaded from the software onto Facebook, Flickr or Picasa accounts.
Photo uploads are free for up to 100 photos, with a flat fee of $US99c including unlimited storage for a year with 100 reminder cards for guests.
