One of the most popular apps on the iPhone is the music app Shazam, which takes a seconds-long sample from any song and identifies it, complete with links to the iTunes Store.

But now a new app from Shazam Entertainment expands on that and provides users with a variety of more features.

Shazam Encore app works the same as the original version – users tap the screen to record a part of a song which is then identified. But the app now gives music recommendations based on the song, with the ability to share the song on social networks such as Facebook and sharing features.

The app also provides touring info for identified artists, with links to tour dates, location maps, biographies and YouTube videos.

But users of the original Shazam won’t be impressed by the price – the new Shazam Encore costs $5.99.
