Software giant Microsoft has announced its Office 2010 suite is now ready for launch, stamping it with the “releasing to manufacture” code on its official website.
The suite, which is set to be released on May 12, will be made available for certain business partners and web developers, while retail copies of the software will be available for consumers in June.
The software will come in three versions: Home and Student featuring Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote, Home and Business, which adds Outlook, with the Professional version adding Publisher and Access.
The company also intends to release web apps for the software in conjunction with its retail release, saying the move is part of its push into cloud computing.
However, it has also said these apps may not be available until the end of the year.
